Nori SekiyaProduct design lead
Open to senior design and design management roles, Melbourne or remote

I lead product design teams from research through to shipped.

Twenty years across insurance, education and publishing. Most recently Lead UX Designer at RAA, where redesigning insurance authentication and payments cut abandonment and added a forecast $3.12M in annual revenue.

You're probably here for one of three things. Pick one and I'll put that first.

Selected work

Each has a two-minute version and a full case study. Start with the skim - open the study when something makes you curious.

How I lead

Four things I'm consistently responsible for, and where you can see each one.

Nori and the RAA product team reviewing a wall of journey-mapping artefacts during a cross-functional workshop.
Journey mapping and ideation with the RAA product team - two UX designers, a product manager, four engineers, plus content, insights, a business analyst and the general manager.

The work behind the work.

Every project on this page has a paper trail behind it. Competitor teardowns, interview notes, card sorts, personas, prioritisation matrices, wireframes, testing rounds, and the ideas that didn't survive contact with real users. The case studies show what was decided. The documentation shows how, on what evidence, and what got rejected along the way. I'm happy to walk through any of it.

About

Illustrated portrait of Nori Sekiya working at a desk covered in sticky notes.

I'm a product designer of twenty years, currently in Adelaide and moving to Melbourne. I work end to end - running the research, framing the problem, sequencing what gets built, and staying on it through to launch.

I like the parts most people skip: the edge cases, the legacy constraint nobody wants to open, the prioritisation call that has to hold up in a room full of people who disagree. That's usually where the actual design work is.
